Charlie Reavis joined Western Electric in 1964 as a Systems Equipment Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia. He has held management positions in engineering, installation, service center operations, sales and manufacturing in various organizations and locations with Western Electric, AT&T, Lucent and OFS.
In 1980 he was selected to attend the corporate Executive Management Program in Princeton, New Jersey. In 1981 he was promoted and moved to Merrimack Valley, Massachusetts as the Manager for Lightwave Engineering and Manufacturing Operations.
In 1986, he was promoted and moved to Atlanta, Georgia as Director of Sales for Global Commercial Markets. In 1990 he became VP of Global Logistics and Distribution Operations for the AT&T Network Cable Systems Business.
In 1995, he became VP of Manufacturing and Development for the AT&T/Lucent Optical Products Business. Starting 2001, Charlie became Senior VP with OFS for Sales and Marketing and retired from this position on December 31, 2002.
Charlie is involved in various community activities including serving on the city planning commission and chairman of several homeowners association committees. He also served for four years as Chairman for the Lucent Metro-Atlanta United Way / Employee Giving Campaign and is a member of the Metro-Atlanta United Way Board of Directors and Vice-Chairman of the Board Investment Committee.
Charlie holds B.S. degrees in Electrical and Industrial Engineering from Southern Polytechnic University. He resides in Alpharetta, Georgia with his wife, Brenda.
